Was Márcia at Remington's a mag?

Always the rye Old Fashion is wonderful. Any salad is excellent...add chicken or extra fish. Cole slaw can be added to sandwiches instead of French fries..a nice change from the usual. View all feedback.

What Benjamin B dislikes about Remington's:

Service was slow and intermittent. Cannot drink fast here or you will go without. Steak was cooked well, but very plain. No garnish or flare. Same for the baked potato that came with it. Not what you would expect to see sitting on a plate for the price. Other than that the atmosphere was very nice with a very comfortable feel. View all feedback.

We went for Restaurant Week 2026 Lunch and will definitely return especially for Happy Hour. Our waiter and bartender was Santiago who was friendly, courteous and knowledgeable, definitely added to our experience. The portions were generous and food was wonderfully prepared and delicious to eat. Remington's has wonderful open bar with a variety seating options including a table in a glass walled wine room! Salad I got was way overdressed and not a great value for the money. booth had a glaring bright light shining down on the table which really destroyed any ambience. Asked about being moved and could not be accommodated. Really so so… Overall, especially for the price would not recommend a dinner here.

Celebrated family birthday. Had a great time! Remington’s is one of our go-to favorites in Chicago. Service was amazing and food was delicious. The playlist was awesome (hope our occasional singing didn’t disturb neighboring booths. Cheers

Remington's is an absolutely LOVELY place to eat! The food was outstanding and the Old Fashions were perfect! I will be going back as soon as I can! I love the location-directly across the street from the Cloud Gate. All of the seating was really nice, there was plenty of space and they had a really nice outdoor area for sitting. Our server was so impressive. She had a great knowledge of the menu and was so wonderful in helping us decide what to choose. I highly recommend the Lobster deviled eggs and the smoked trout toast! Incredible. It is the type of food you dream of.

We made reservations on a Saturday night, end of August...right after the DNC was in town. This place was right across from The Bean, so we were sitting there getting hungry and decided to go someplace really close. Glad we did! Remington's wasn't busy, which was shocking, but there were quite a few people dining inside and a handful outside. We chose to dine outside. Our server was very pleasant and helpful...told us about the menu and the special for the evening. We decided to have some drinks and appetizers, for a Tapas feel. I ordered the Purple Rain and the Moscow Mule (the latter being my favorite). Our first little plate was the Tempura Rock Shrimp, which was yummy, but really needed to be coated in more sauce. The next little plate was the Crab Cake. Oh wow! This was really good. Large chunks of white crab meat, mixed to perfection with some onions, spices and herbs...with that bread crumb crust...amazing. Along with the creamy, delicious remoulade, this was my favorite of the evening. The last small plate we decided to try was the Mini Filet Sandwiches. This was absolutely delicious. The filet was so flavorful and tender, I'm going to order the Filet itself on my next visit. The candied red onion was perfection with the creamy mayo and bleu cheese crumbles. The mini slider rolls were slightly sweet which complemented the melange of flavors inside. I saw several dishes go past and they all looked SO GOOD, I can't wait to go back and try more at Remington's soon! By the way, the place has a warm, welcoming vibe, low key music, warm lighting, and cozy dining spaces. I would bring older kids, but if you bring little ones, they should be used to going out to dinner in quiet, adult spaces.

Excellent service, delicious food, and a great ambience. One of the few places in downtown Chicago that still had available reservations on Valentine’s Day weekend but it did not disappoint. Price was pretty reasonable too!

I arrived 15 minutes before the kitchen closed, so some items were no longer available. The Oysters Rockefeller were decent, but they had too much spinach and cheese for my liking. The lobster deviled eggs were just okay. However, the steak was cooked perfectly, and the loaded potato was good as well. The Old Fashioned drink was excellent!

Our second visit, this time I had the prime rib. It was the perfect size for the price about 12 ounces. The side of creamed spinach was delicious and very different. The Mac and cheese is also very different and tasty. Service can be challenging but the food is fantastic. We stepped out of Lollapalooza with the kids for lunch. The wines are also a good price. There is no other place like this around the area a very good excellent place.

Find a turkey burger on the way home. Take the bus from the Apple store south to 20 N. Michigan on the #3 Bus to Washington and walk to Remington's. The serve was very good. The place had a warm touch. The menu covered a lot of ground. Roc just wanted a turkey burger. Remington's delivered the goods with Asia cold slaw, pickles, tomatoes, lettuce on a brioche bun. Yes, I copied Roc selection and add fries. We finished the sandwiches and on the bus transfer. We took the #4 Cottage Grove Bus home .... Shalom We are thankful for the blessing of the Lord Almighty. We wandered in there after a show at the Chicago Theatre during a torrential rainstorm. While we were cold and wet the service staff treated us so well even though we only ordered the fillet sliders and the stuffed potato. The server asked if we would like 4 sliders because everyone wants the last one so we did. I'm so glad we did. We will be back to try the other items that looked equally appealing. It is more than I like to pay but it was so worth it. I complimented the staff and chef on the quality of the meat. I hope my tip reflected that. Thank you for your fine care and great dining experience.

Oysters and crab cakes were AMAZING!!! The only down side was no Cesar dressing but I’ll live. The drinks were strong and yummy. I sat at the bar and Pam was amazing. She made me a wonderful freestyle drink and recommended the crab cakes that did not disappoint. Not to mention you can see the bean right outside. Great location if you want to experience summer chi and great food!

I took my teenage daughter for a birthday dinner, between visiting the Art Institute and heading to a Broadway in Chicago. The host was welcoming and punctual. Our server immediately presented itself and was attentive during the meal. Our food was delicious and beautifully portioned. Our server was friendly enough to give my daughter a slice of lime cake with a birthday candle! Our entire experience was pleasant. It was so conveniently located opposite the Millennium Park, making it a simple walk from the museum and the theatre. We'll eat there again!
