**Restaurant Review: Mixed Experiences at Qaato**
Qaato's reputation seems to be a mixed bag, as customer experiences vary widely. While some diners praise the delicious food, highlighting specific dishes, others lament poor service and disappointing quality. Complaints include tough, unappealing meat, unclean premises, and rude staff, which overshadow some positive remarks about the flavors. Additionally, issues with inconsistent delivery and unresponsive customer service exacerbate frustrations. Despite some diners enjoying their meals, many remain wary, suggesting that the restaurant could benefit from substantial improvements in both food presentation and customer care. Overall, Qaato's potential is overshadowed by persistent service challenges.
Feedback
The worst. Zero customer service basically. They want to take your money while showing you no courtesy at all. Nigerian restaurants suffer from horrible customer service for the most part but this is by far the worst.
We had been here a few times but it is always close The food is good. However up to 45 minute wait and the place in not fancy but we had drove an hour. The open days and times didn't match what was on the door and the people were just Rude. I didn't know why they were. I really didn't want it I was afraid they would spit in it. I'm black American my husband is from Nigeria and he really wanted it. We drove from Bolingbrook Illinois to get treated very bad. But he promised we would never go back. I'd rather pay 500$ for a meal and be broke then pay 30, 20, to get treated like a rat in an alley and oh the prices constantly change.
I ordered takeout and was quite disappointed. The rice was spicy, which was alright, but the goat meat was extremely tough and definitely tasted like it wasn’t freshly cooked. My son had the chicken and jollof rice; however, the chicken didn’t resemble the fried version shown in the pictures. In fact, none of the food looked like what was advertised. Plus, who eats cooked chicken skin? It also didn’t taste fresh. I may not be an expert on African cuisine, but I can confidently say this wasn’t a good experience. On top of everything, all the food had a fishy smell. I think it will be a long time before I try African food again.
