Pizza is terrible. For Chicago it wS very disappointing. The only thing going for it is location
In the middle of hot weather and while you are walking trying to relax while watching the Buckingham fountain. This place is nice to buy ice cream. I tried the Mango Italian Ice flavor. Taste good and i love it.
Honestly, Buckingham Fountain could be a go-to restaurant destination in the city. Think an acre of patio seating with brick underfoot and spectacular views... But we 're left with these tiny fast food joints that are mediocre at best. This PieLife place is on the north side of the fountain and seating is about 18 tables in two corrals. The views ARE great, but it 'd be so much better if the patio umbrella game was better: we had to hunt for one table with shade at 4p in the afternoon. You can 't order a whole pizza here, it 's basic pepperoni or sausage and it 's by the slice. That said, their reheating game was on point because the crust was surprisingly crispy and it was a pretty satisfying snack. Craft beer is in cans only but includes small time favorites like ninja vs unicorn.
I paid $7 for a slice of stale pizza that had clearly been sitting out for who knows how long. I requested a fresh slice, and there were plenty available, but I still received an old one. Kids usually love pizza, right? Well, mine ended up throwing theirs away. I'm just trying to finish mine since I paid for it.
