As a Korean person who was raised on good, authentic Korean food, I highly recommend this restaurant. The service is amazing which pairs perfectly with the great food. If you've never tried Korean cuisine, I recommend starting here. Extra bonus for the cocktails! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Perilla Korean American Fare:
So disappointed. Better Korean food in Chicago and better value. Slapping strips of meat and mushrooms and ring of onion is pretty lame. And our waiter burned the meat and took min to come back with new meat and the other people in our party were done eating Also not a big fan of long tables for multiple parties like Iâm at a picnic. Absolutely delicious dinner! Service was top-notch.
Awesome service and excellent food and drinks! We'll be back for sure.
Great experience for our anniversary. Had a wagyu appetizer that was amazing. The onion ash broth nearly brought a tear to my eye.
Food was delicious and the service was friendly and attentive, but I really felt like they are nickel and diming customers. $5 each for banchan, $1 each for dipping sauces, $2 for rice and $5 for lettuce? Just raise the prices of the entrees if you have to, but charging extra for these things is simply off putting.
I dined here last evening and feel that the previous 3-star reviews accurately reflect my experience. My primary concern was the service, especially considering our substantial spend of $500, excluding tips. The restaurant includes a 5% Kitchen Support Fee, which I find perplexing since our server wasn't involved in cooking our food on the grill, an expectation for guests at this upscale venue. Additionally, our server recommended a $80 bottle of soju at 9:45 pm, after offering a complimentary sample. This led to a rushed atmosphere, with repeated suggestions to pack our unfinished bottle to-go. In hindsight, forgoing the upsale would have been preferable. It's also worth noting the absence of dessert options. Overall, there are better dining choices available.
