My favorite spot for Italian Beef in Chicago! I go there at least once a week, with my most recent visit on October 4, 2023. I can't wait to go back again on November 10, 2023!
This is a lovely little spot to enjoy high-quality Chicago-style food at great prices. The Italian beef sandwiches are quite tasty! The customer service is excellent, and they are efficient in getting your order ready and you on your way with your meal.
I've been dining here since the 1960s, and I'm saddened to hear that the stand is closing. This news really brings back memories, as my godmother, Sarah Corona, and my cousin, Gigi, both worked here. Try the dipped sandwich! I stopped by this place for a quick meal before a concert, and it definitely delivered on speed. I received my roast beef sandwich in just around 10 seconds. The beef, peppers, and bread were all immersed in a spicy au jus. I ate it while standing at the counter and finished in about 5 minutes. I’ll definitely return the next time I’m in the area for a concert!
