When I asked why they were so crispy, he explained that the bacon strips were coated in batter and had to be fried that way. When I suggested getting a different dish instead, he insisted that's how they were meant to be served. Both my wife and I were very disappointed with both the service and the appetizer.

When I asked why it was fried so much, he mentioned that the bacon strips were coated in batter, so they needed to be cooked thoroughly.
