If there is less than a star rating then this place surly deserves it. I had my share of middle Eastern food to know when it is good and when it is bad. This place still cant make it ti bad!!! I gor some kunafeh, hareesa and baklava, just dessert that the owner just promised it is fresh. Got home tried a bite of each, they used old old oil, may be after the frying that oil becomes the for desert but it has a strong taste that made me throw up tge minute I bit on it. Horrible. Over charge is one thing but selling you this garbage is a different dimension of bad restaurants! Service: Takeaway Meal type: Other Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
Old Jerusalem Restaurant offers delicious and affordable Middle Eastern food in a relaxed environment. The staff provided excellent service; my waiter was very attentive and my food was arrived soon after I ordered it. I will definitely be returning!
I always enjoy the food at Old Jerusalem, and I appreciate the peaceful and laid-back atmosphere.
We had lamb kebab, shirwarma sandwhich, falafel sandwhich, and the dessert recommended by the waiter. It was excellent. As good as any middle eastern food I have had in the middle east here in Chicago. They didn't charge us for either the dessert or BYOB. It says there is a 2.75 charge per person for BYOB which I don't like, but I dont think they charged us for it which is what we would expect.
