Noyane - Chicago
Noyane
Description
Nestled on the 20th floor of The Conrad, Noyane offers stunning views and a unique blend of Peruvian-Japanese Nikkei cuisine. While the ambiance is undoubtedly inviting, and the cocktails impress, service often falters—resulting in significant wait times for food and drinks. Diners praise standout dishes like ceviche rolls and the Wagyu Burger, yet express disappointment with sushi options. Despite mixed service experiences and occasional administrative blunders, Noyane holds strong appeal for group gatherings and leisurely lunches. Reservations are advised, though flexibility with seating seems essential for a truly enjoyable outing.

Pretty good food, service is absolutely awful. The bus boy came to our table more than the waitress. The wagyu burger and skirt steak skewers and spicy tuna roll are all great. She also didn’t come up to our table until 15 min until we were seated andasked “do you all want a menu?” Then came back to take our order and never asked us if we wanted another drink or water. Iwas astonished that the bus boy cared about us more than the waitress... I cannot recommend this place, the food doesn’toutweigh the terrible service.
The food was quite good, but the service was absolutely terrible. The busboy checked on us more frequently than the waitress did. The wagyu burger, skirt steak skewers, and spicy tuna roll were all excellent. However, the waitress didn’t approach our table until 15 minutes after we were seated to ask if we wanted menus. She then returned to take our order but didn’t inquire about drinks or water throughout our meal. I was shocked that the busboy was more attentive to us than the waitress. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this place—the quality of the food doesn't make up for the awful service.
The drinks were average, the food forgettable, and the service inconsistent and unreliable. The standout feature of the restaurant is its rooftop, though it was disappointing to find that it leaked during a rainstorm. I might consider visiting again in the future, but I will keep my expectations low. The restaurant hosted a networking event, which was a great way to experience it. The ambiance and decor are impressive, making it a suitable choice for networking or group gatherings. Despite the service issues, I found myself coming back for Sunday lunch on the rooftop, and I'm starting to appreciate it more. The atmosphere is definitely the restaurant's strong point, but the lackluster service remains a persistent problem.
Noyane is an impressive rooftop bar and restaurant situated on the 20th floor of The Conrad. It’s an ideal place for lunch or dinner dates. The menu features Nikkei cuisine, blending traditional Peruvian flavors with Japanese influences. I especially enjoyed the ceviche roll and Wagyu burger, finished off with a delightful blackberry vodka shaved ice dessert. The cocktails were skillfully made, and the bartenders were highly knowledgeable. Noyane is also great for groups and serves as a fantastic brunch spot in the downtown area. For larger parties, I recommend calling ahead to secure a reservation.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Conrad in Chicago and was thoroughly impressed by their newly opened rooftop venue, Noyane. Although I only sampled their drinks during this visit, I am eager to return and try the food. The views of downtown Chicago from Noyane are absolutely stunning. I especially enjoyed the coffee with Baileys and the Pa Pa Sangria, but the highlight for me was the Hibiki Japanese Whiskey—it’s always a delightful choice that never lets me down. I highly recommend visiting The Conrad for a fantastic experience.
