The bar... read more My brother and I happened to be in the neighborhood and in need of a beer when we walked in the northdown cafe and our thirsts were more then answered. The bar keep was a fellow veteran and extremely helpful in answering all out questions about the sour beer we had on our minds. We left feeling great from the shots of freedom and wealth of knowledge provided to us while here and would highly recommend anyone who is thirsty to do the same, you won't regret it!

Northdown has been serving up an eclectic mic of craft beers and hearty gastropub fare for the last few years. It's a nice low-key spot to actually relax and talk with friends over beers and dinner. They really know their beer, and get some really interesting drafts that rotate constantly. Good location near CTA, and several other craft bars like Green Lady and Four Moon.

Nevertheless, the burger I had was fantastic. It can get quite busy in the evenings, so if you're planning to have dinner, I would suggest arriving early.

The prices are reasonable given the variety available. Overall, it's a nice spot to gather with friends for drinks after work. The food menu is also quite impressive.
