However, considering the own... read more The restaurant appeared neglected, and the food didn't meet my expectations. As a black-owned business, I hoped for better quality. However, considering the owner's reputation, I might give it another chance. Unfortunately, my experience was reminiscent of his previous establishment, Drink Haus, which was also disappointing.

While she wasn’t rude, she didn’t seem particularl... read more Upon arrival, we were greeted rather lukewarmly by a young woman who was sitting at the hostess stand eating. While she wasn’t rude, she didn’t seem particularly happy to see us. We were seated right in the middle of the dining area, which had no other guests aside from a couple at the bar. After waiting about 20 minutes without being approached by a server for water or to hear about specials, we decided to leave. I didn’t get to taste the food, although the menu looked promising. This isn’t your typical bad service review citing rudeness or disrespect; it’s simply a report that there was no service at all. It felt as though our presence was an inconvenience, as if we were interrupting some sort of meeting. Unfortunately, black-owned businesses often face various challenges, and poor service shouldn’t be one of them. I’m genuinely disappointed, and after reading other reviews, it seems I might have been spared from a subpar dining experience.
