On December 24, I received a reminder email for my reservation on December 25. However, when my family and I arrived at the restaurant, we discovered that it was closed due to COVID-19. While I understand the necessity of closing for this reason, I wish I had been notified beforehand. According to their Facebook page, the restaurant had been closed since December 21. After reading several Tribune articles about the octopus here, we finally tried Nico last night.
Overall: a great option in downtown Chicago for a night out.
New chef but the food is as good as ever, with some new twistsWe like to sit by the bar counter which overlooks the kitchen.
Nice ambience, fresh, tasty food and good staff. A neighborhood gem. The food was cooked to perfection and flavorful.
Such a great find here in Dallas, the food is rich and tasty and intense. The upper floor is lovely on a cool, windy day and you have fantastic views. I don't know her name, but the girl with the great tattoo is just beautiful.
