For the main course, we decided on the Boston Maki, which features tuna and avocado, and it was absolutely delicious. My friend also tried the Fire Dragon Maki, which consists of tempura shrimp and avocado wrapped in tuna, topped with spicy shrimp, scallions, and a sweet sauce. I opted for the Dragon Maki, made with tempura shrimp and topped with unagi, avocado, and unagi sauce, without the mayo. That day, the chef's special was Toro, or fatty tuna. The service was outstanding—our server was both friendly and attentive. I am definitely looking forward to coming back!
I absolutely love this place! It's right across the street from me, so I visit frequently. I have never had a bad experience at Nori! This is definitely my favorite sushi restaurant, and it always will be!
I went to this restaurant for dinner last Thursday, and I was very disappointed with my experience. The sushi, ramen, and dumplings were all mediocre. However, what really turned my stomach was a large cockroach crawling on the booth where I was sitting! I called the waitress over to inform her about the roach, pointing directly at it. At first, she pretended to inspect the table and claimed it was just a stain in the wood. I told her to look where I was pointing, and she finally acknowledged the roach. She simply grabbed a napkin, picked it up, and walked away without addressing the issue further. When she returned to collect our check, that was the extent of her service. I paid in disgust and left feeling absolutely appalled. I will never return to this restaurant.
Nori Sushi has quickly become my favorite neighborhood spot, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking to dine alone. The inviting atmosphere and friendly staff create a feel that’s akin to a second home, making it one of the few places where I truly feel at ease eating by myself. I often order the chirashi bowl, which is always a delightful treat. The fresh sashimi served on a bed of Japanese rice, paired with miso soup, offers a wonderful experience for the taste buds. The chef's selection adds an element of surprise and highlights the restaurant's dedication to quality. The team at Nori Sushi consistently goes above and beyond to foster a warm and welcoming environment. Their genuine kindness makes every visit unforgettable, and I genuinely feel like I'm walking into a safe haven. If you're seeking a hidden gem in the neighborhood with fantastic food and a friendly atmosphere, Nori Sushi is the place to be.
