Second time something tasted sour/bitter like poison. Last time we had that taste my bf got sick. I'm disappointed. One of the few places that will actually serve lots of veggies but my trust has been lost. View all feedback.

I had a disappointing experience with this restaurant. The delivery person was quite rude, which left a negative impression right from the start. Unfortunately, the food itself did not improve matters. I ordered the Combination Egg Foo Young and Honey Garlic Chicken, and both dishes were bland, dry, and really not enjoyable. I honestly believe I could have cooked a better meal at home. This was my first and will definitely be my last time ordering from here. Date of service: 7/17/2022.
Have had dry chilli chicken and Sichuan eggplant. Gosh. They were so good that I didn't know I was overeating. Every bite was worth it. I will try every other dish here.
The food is tasty, but the portions are not very generous for the price when compared to other Chinese restaurants.
What can I say about ML Kitchen. The food is very delicious and they have great friendly service. I tell all my friends about this place. They have a nice quaint dining room if you decide to dine in as well as a dining patio on nice days. The parking in the back is awesome since it is very hard to find street parking there.
Nestled in Chicago, this family-run Chinese spot is praised for authentic, bold flavors — highlights include dry chili chicken, Sichuan eggplant, hot boiled beef and Xiao Long Bao — with plentiful vegetarian options. A relaxed, quaint dining room, patio, BYOB policy, smoothies and back parking add charm. However, experiences vary: some guests report inconsistent portions, occasional bland or dry takeout, rude delivery interactions and order/refund problems. Overall it's a beloved local favorite with standout dishes but occasional service and consistency lapses.

Delicious! The food here is truly authentic and exceptional! We shared a selection of dishes, and each one was full of flavor and cooked to perfection. We tried the hot boiled beef, salt and pepper green beans, Xiao Long Bao, dry chili fish fillets, and hot pepper tofu. Don't miss out on the smoothies; they really help to balance the spiciness. The atmosphere is relaxed, and there's a unique raised floor with a transparent section revealing a rock garden below. As for vegetarian options, there are plenty, including various tofu and vegetable dishes.
This is undoubtedly one of the best places for Chinese food that I've experienced in Chicago! It’s quite challenging to find quality Chinese cuisine in the city unless you head out to Chinatown. I highly recommend trying the Hot and Sour soup and the Mongolian beef. The staff are incredibly kind and welcoming, and you can really feel the family-run atmosphere of the restaurant. I absolutely loved my time here!
Very cozy place with a fun atmosphere. The food was good and so was the drink. For the area the restaurant is in, you can't beat it.I enjoyed the orange chicken and the potstickers for the appetizer.Edit: So the takeout I brought back home had bones in it and almost cracked my tooth biting into a piece. :
I went there with a group of friends one night, and everything was pretty good. The only bad experience that turned a good night into a bad one was an interaction with the waiter who was the cashier also. When we paid, we pay with a credit card, then we were going to leave $20 in cash as a tip. After charging us, he demanded that we leave a tip while pointing to credit card receipt, but then I told him he were going to leave it in cash. After I said that, he said, Ok good, and he didn 't apologize. So, instead of giving him the $20 like originally planned, I told him give me $10 back and keep the other half. This guy takes the $20 as a tip, and leaves to go clean the table. After this interaction, I 'm not sure if I actually want to go back to a place were they steal from you and treat you with disrespect.
BEWARE I (female) came here on 4/10/2023 for dinner. As we were being seated, a male customer was leaving and held his phone upright directly at me, as if taking photos, before quickly exiting the restaurant. I immediately felt violated and brought this up with our waiter, who said he’d tell his colleague. His colleague was dismissive and aloof, and responded only with his claim that he could not do anything about it. To make matters worse, we were told this customer is a regular who patrons the restaurant at least weekly. My goal in relaying this incident was to alert the restaurant of such behavior from the customer and so they can have the information needed to keep their restaurant and other customers safe, ESPECIALLY if this suspicious customer is a known regular. I understand the restaurant staff are not law enforcement, and cannot take any legal action in response.I told the colleague of my intention, but there was no change in course of action from his side. Neither our first waiter and nor his colleague ever even TRIED to acknowledge my experience, nor did they make any effort to contact their manager or owner to hopefully better deal with the issue. Literally not even an ounce of concern was shown.Staff needs training to say the least, but beyond that, they need to develop some basic human decency and empathy. If you decide to visit this restaurant, please be vigilant. For reference the guy who took photos was Asian male in his 20s, around 5'10 , skinny, had hooded and monolid eyes, and short black hair.
