Went on a Saturday night was a pretty long wait to get a table which to me is just the sign of a great restaurant. I ordered multiple items off the dim sum menu. Most were great, some better than others. I think I made a mistake however not ordering an entree as I saw many amazing looking ones coming to other tables. The shrimp looked amazing!!! Every time I go to Chicago I visit this place for whatever reason, and have been doing so for the past 6 years. Honestly from a food flavor standpoint, I do not think it has the best dim sum in the area, especially if you choose the wrong thing. The chicken feet and the shrimp dumplings whichever kind I think are always great. The baked creamy egg yolk bun 金酥流沙包 I will get every time. The sweet egg pastry 金黄蛋散 unfortunately I will not get again. Food-aside, the place is super accessible and huge, which explains its popularity. Dim sum is served at a very efficient manner, and over the years they continue to try to improve their menu by adding innovative items or expanding categories instead of being content with what they already got. The fact that this place serves dim sum day and night for the Chinese community and beyond in the Chicago area seven days a week without having people do too much other than just eat and enjoy is why I am giving it a 5 star. I will need to expand my dim sum horizon the next time I visit Chicago, but this place always has a place in my heart.
By far the best I’ve had since California’s hidden gems..walked into China Town wondering how to choose the greatest experience when surrounded by so many options. An elderly Asian lady approached us to sign a petition, I then asked which spot she recommended and am I glad I did! This place was the best on many levels. From everything brought out fresh fast and delicious down to the process. Ordered several items first from the dim sum menu.. pork ribs and beef ribs included. Continued on to main course items like combination fried rice and beef with Chinese broccoli. I will comment on the fact that I’ve visited many many eateries and have to majorly compliment this spots system. It runs absolutely amazing, they first welcome you with a pitcher of hot tea and iced water as well as an itemized colored dim sum menu to choose your appetizers with a pen provided.. you then get to tap in your order in a perfectly though out tablet display. Smooth efficient system and just plain delicious! No complaints and highly highly recommend. A must try in China Town!
Amazing Chinese food, great flavors, and something for everyone. My favorite is the pineapple chicken, which has fresh ginger. Good variety, Cantonese dishes as well as fresh seafood. Nice atmosphere and pretty decor. They gave us a tablet to order on, plus regular menus. They have a good ginger vodka cocktail.
This place is very authentic and they have menu items for everyone's style. We had the beef string bean and added garlic it was very delicious we also had the rice noodles those were excellent. We have the fried octopus super delicious recommend . We also tried the smaller items which were all perfect . I highly recommend this place if your around Chinatown!
