We were in town to host a baby shower for my daughter-in-law, and we discovered this charming, family-owned Italian restaurant. It was absolutely fabulous! From the bar to the handcrafted cocktails, everything was delightful. What User doesn't like about Mario's Table:
The restaurant is small and cozy, but quite busy, so it's best to make a reservation in advance, especially on Friday nights. Our server was adequate, though it was difficult to hear them over the surrounding noise. View all feedback.
I will recommend Mario's Table to anyone looking for a quiet neighborhood restaurant. Great service and value .. excellent menu choices ..

The food was delicious. The 2 people who ordered chicken loved the taste and very large portions. The 3 who ordered pasta thought it was a very good large portion. Courtney, our server, was great. She was very attentive and helpful. Mario came over to our table to say hello and ask how everything was.
We were only in town for a very short visit and picked Mario’s because it was close to our hotel. We were NOT sorry. The food was good; our waiter and the rest of the staff were attentive; and it was a nice touch to meet the owner. We will go back on our next visit to Chicago.
Great meal and service. Neighborhood gem in Gold Coast.
