This place used to be Mahalo, which I like much much more than this new take-over. This “beach” theme just felt generic and lazy. Nothing to write home about. Honestly would not go again or suggest this to anyone. If you do end up there, the pina colada’s aren’t bad but I’ve certainly had better.
This restaurant is amazing however, I just wish they gave you more food. Myself and all of my friends were still hungry after ordering a full meal. Also they do allow you to substitute or add on anything.
Our server was really good but it took forever for us grt our drinks and appetizers. Drinks took about 20 minutes to grt which was kind of annoying.
I was there with friends for the 4th of July. The food and drinks were decent if perhaps a bit overpriced. I got the island bowl with smashed avocado, which was just rice, beans, greens, plantains, salsa, and guacamole. It was good, but probably not worth the $12. The 5 of us shared a pitcher of the berry mojito, which was light and refreshing. The ambience was great- very island feel. However, we were seated on the rooftop and it was quite hot and sunny. The service was a little slow, but they admitted to being short-staffed for the holiday.
The service at this restaurant was awful. We arrived early and sat at the bar, but we were completely ignored for 15 minutes. When a bartender finally came over, we discovered that the first three beers on their daily menu were not available. This used to be the location of the fantastic Bom Bolla. It's a mystery how that amazing place didn't survive while this one did.
