Description

Located in an engaging sports bar atmosphere, this restaurant offers attentive service and a lively vibe, making it a great spot for gatherings. While the drinks are reasonably priced and popular menu items like the jerk chicken and loaded fries receive praise, the food quality can be inconsistent, with some classic bar offerings disappointing. Highlights include a flavorful homemade tomato soup and acclaimed fish fry. The warm and friendly staff enhance the experience, ensuring patrons feel welcome. Overall, it's a mixed but mostly positive experience, perfect for casual outings and enjoying good company.

With there being the Chicago Bears vs Indianapolis Colts game, it was hard to find a sports bar that was showcasing the Miami Hurricanes vs Florida Gators college football game on television. Tuman 's Tap and Grill was playing the Chicago Bears game; I got no answer at Boulevard Sports Lounge; and The Fifty/50 had a disconnected number. I did contemplate Sullys House which is actually a University of Florida Gators supporting bar, but gave Mac 's Wood Grilled a call to find that they were showcasing it this evening. Six months ago during the 2019 College football playoff championship I bookmarked Mac 's, noting it as one of the College football supporting bars in the city.Even though Mac 's was not even half-filled during my visit, it is actually a sweet looking neighborhood bar. And in my opinion it looks like something that was featured on the television show 'Bar Rescue ' after getting a rescued makeover. I loved that it was not too crowded like some of the other bars along W Division St like Fatpour Tap Works, The Boundary Tavern Grille, and The Fifty/50.As for my order, I ordered the Chicken Caesar Salad based off of Yelp pictures because I did not get the chance to do my research prior to this spare of the moment visit. But on another date, i would love to try the Frisco Chicken or the B.A.L.T. which caught my eye while waiting on the server (Breanna) to take my order. After ordering I got the chance to scan the place to see some of its events, which are Industry Night on Monday 's, Open Mic Night on Tuesday 's and Trivia Night on Wednesday 's.It was hard to get in to the game because the volume was primarily set for the Chicago Bears vs Indianapolis Colts game which I am sure few inside of the bar cared to watch. Like many of the other bars along W Division St. your only option for parking is neighborhood parking which can seem like a witch hunt, depending on what time of the day it is. Where you park at may set you a few blocks from the bar, but nothing too excruciating.Do I recommend, Mac 's Wood Grilled? Yes, I do, but I also recommend calling prior to your visit to see what games they are showcasing on their televisions if your visit is primarily to watch a sports game, as like my visit.Thomas G

I visited this place for drinks and appetizers on a Friday night, and it was fantastic! The spinach artichoke dip was absolutely amazing—definitely one of the best I've ever had. The pita bread that came with it was a perfect match. The wood-smoked wings were also superb, and the house buffalo sauce was expertly made. The service was friendly, and the drinks were great as well. I truly enjoyed my time here!

The service was excellent, and the sports bar atmosphere was enjoyable. The staff was very attentive and frequently checked in to see if we needed anything. Unfortunately, the food was quite disappointing. We ordered mozzarella sticks, a taco salad, and a BBQ burger, and all three were subpar, leaving us feeling unwell until the next day. The burger came on a cold bun and created a large mess of sauce and oil, which was rather unappetizing.
