Luzzat - Chicago
Menu
The restaurant from Chicago offers 29 different courses and drinks on the menu at an average price of $8.5.
Nestled in Chicago, Luzzat Indian Restaurant offers a mix of flavors that delight and disappoint. While standout dishes like the Dal Palak and Chicken Vindaloo receive rave reviews for their authentic taste and exceptional spiciness, some patrons find inconsistency in quality, particularly with the Butter Chicken and samosas. The atmosphere is casual, ideal for a friendly gathering, though service can be slow at times. Despite mixed experiences, many agree that the generous portions and friendly staff make it a worthwhile culinary adventure for lovers of Indian cuisine. Just approach with a taste for spice and an open mind.

Was Jill K at Luzzat a mag?
This place has been always recommended to me since I've moved to the area. I finally tried it and wish I had sooner! Spice and flavor is amazing. Mango lassi took me right back to Nepal. Love that this is right in my neighborhood! View all feedback.
What Shelly S dislikes about Luzzat:
I ordered delivery from Luzzat including Samosas, Butter Chicken and Paratha. The butter chicken was the worst I've ever had. The sauce was thin and watery. The samosas were crisp but a little greasy and did not contain much filling. View all feedback.
Wow. Just wow. The Dal Palak is the most incredible Dal we have found in Chicago. My wife is from London and having also lived in London, where the Indian food is out of this world, we have tried all kinds of places in Chicago. This is a one woman shop and she has a gift. Off the beaten path and worth it. If you try anything, the Dal Palak, spicy, is a must.
I’ve been going here for years and they never disappoint. The food is delicious with big portions and good prices. Highly recommend
I've been ordering the Chicken Vindaloo from here for years now and it still to this day is the best Vindaloo I have been able to find in Chicago. I'm not sure how Luzzat is able to be so consistent for such a fair price (I work in food also so I know how hard consistency can be for a restaurant that isn't charging incredibly high rates), but they are and I am incredibly grateful every time I get to eat from here. It's incredible food and flavours and I get the sense I'm eating from a very skilled operation every time.
The entrees were a bit expensive and the menu was very limited. I ordered the chicken vindaloo which had a delicious sauce, but only came with three pieces of tough, overcooked chicken breast. However, the veggie samosas were fantastic and have now become my second favorite dish.
I ordered takeout from this restaurant. The food arrived hot, there was a lot of it, and it came in a timely manner. However, the taste was average. The butter chicken was a bit watery. Overall, the food wasn't terrible but it also wasn't great. I don't think I'll be ordering from here again. There wasn't anything outstanding about the meal that would make me want to try more.
