While some praise the delightful fare, such as the perfectly cooked hot dogs and budget-friendly fish sandwich combo, others lament the decline in food quality and consistency. Diners have reported frequent order mix-ups and stale ingredients, leading to disappointment. Despite these concerns, many patrons appreciate the lively atmosphere, efficient service, and vibrant community feel. With a history spanning over two decades, the restaurant's recent changes have sparked nostalgia among long-time visitors, leaving them to wonder if Lulu’s can recapture its former glory.
This is my second visit, and it was as good as the first time. Next time I have to go to Stroger Hospital, I'll stop in again, no doubt.
Oh wow I just wanted a good hotdog and this was the perfect place to be, Great food very fast and the guys are very intentional on taking your order the right way
Went for Chicago Dogs Chili Cheese Dog w/ chopped onions. The bun was stale on the Chicago dog. The ingredients were less than fresh. I got a piece of a pickle. I didn’t even try the chili cheese dog in which they didn’t add the chopped onions I requested. Service was good and the place is clean. But I won’t recommend or return. The fries were good though!!! 8.5/10!!
Being from central Illinois, I didn't know they wouldn't have saurkraut for my polish....even the cook stepped out to have a giggle, lol. This place is great!!
This is not a gyro plate one damn sandwich full of sauce at bottom
