Leon's Barbeque Zone - Chicago
Leon's Barbeque Zone
Description
A recent exploration of this restaurant reveals a wide range of culinary experiences, swinging from delight to disappointment. While some patrons rave about the flavorful rib tips and commend the grilled offerings, others criticize overcooked chicken strips and burnt links. The pricing has raised eyebrows, with some feeling the portions do not justify the cost. Additionally, the drive-thru-only service model left some diners wanting. Despite its potential, the inconsistency in food quality and customer service suggests that patrons may want to think twice before returning. Overall, this establishment presents a mixed bag of barbecue experiences.

I ordered a large portion of tips, but when I got home, I found they hadn't been chopped at all. I attempted to ask for a replacement, but they refused, saying that since I had opened the box, they couldn't take it back. How was I supposed to know the contents without opening it? This is poor customer service. I drove two miles and spent twenty dollars on this meal, only to waste my gas, money, and energy.
Everything was excellent, but I'm unable to give a high rating for the atmosphere since there is no dine-in option.
I recently tried the ribs and sausages at this restaurant a month ago, and they were overcooked and dry. The fried items were sitting in a pool of sauce, making them rough. I chalked it up to just having a bad day. Today, I ordered the chicken strips and fries, thinking they couldn't mess it up. Unfortunately, the chicken strips were made with breast meat that lacked taste or spice. The coating was hard, and the chicken was so overcooked that I ended up throwing it out. Even my 11-year-old can boil better than that. If I could, I would give them a zero rating.
I will never ever ever ever go here again. They charge $14.25 for 6 wing. Are serious. Prices do not match the portions. And I'm sorry but at the Black Owned Leons the Prices ARE NOT this high!
