Las Delicias De Puerto Rico - Chicago

First, just entering the building I should’ve known it was off, the restaurant is sketchy itself. I am Puerto Rican and grew up always eating the food. This food here was actually really soggy, gross and it’s upsetting to watch generations of recipes be belittled in this restaurant. Flavors on bacalao, alcapurrias, sorullos, etc all lacked. We asked for pinchos and when we ate it we all automatically spit it out cuz the meat had been old and sitting out too long.Instant stomach ache. I’m very disappointed cuz this is not how my people make their food ? so please steer away from eating here

Please do not go here This place is a joke. This is like ordering your Puerto Rican food from Wish. After tasting the nastiest take on Puerto Rican food, I got violently sick. The pincho was old and maybe made out of wood. The alcapurria had no flavor. It’s as if there were no PUERTO RICAN’S cooking. So unless you want to be underwhelmed and get food poisoned, I would not go.

I graduated so we decided to come here and the place it's nice music very vide like wtv but they cook are order then the owner would serve the people he knows before us even if they walked in 20-40 min after we were waiting the food was okay I expected a lot better and the owner only cared about talking and making sure his friends are served before everyone else I'm sorry but I will never eat here again

I've been going to this place for years and always satisfied with the food last month we went after a year not going there 1st my order was wrong our server did not listen to what I wanted 2nd they no longer sell authentic mocilas and third we took certain appetizer to go only to be disappointed that it's no longer the same
