This is such a great dive bar. Without a doubt, it's my favorite bar in Chicago.
Went here, and it was a fun time at first. Then I noticed some of my friends trying to play pool and a creepy old patron was sitting in a corner and told them the only way that he wouldn't let anyone play against each other. He would walk up to the game and immediately sink the 8 ball so that the game was over and nobody could play. He was also incredibly rude.The staff did nothing and said this is just how it is, he won in Vegas and he is really good, and apparently he knows the owner. These girls almost fought the older guy but the young girls had the level headness to walk away NOT the older man,Very weird, maybe just let the young girls play and go back to Vegas. It doesn't matter if he knew the owners you have to appeal to all patrons. Pathetic.
I can't tell you how much I love Lange's. I live nearby and come here at least once or twice a month with friends. The drinks are very well priced and the vibe is always fun. It's also open until very late most nights, so a great option to go to after other bars close down!
The bartenders and other customers were incredibly friendly!
Owner/family/staff second to none!!
