Recommend: their signature hot chocolate was good, the place is really nice inside, the service was good, the lemon cake was was as good as it looked unfortunately would skip on it.The hot chocolate was good but it is a bit pricey for 1 small cup, a few other places around Chicago make as good or even better double amount for similar price, but then again this is basically downtown of the city. What Ajimon Thomas doesn't like about L.a. Burdick Handmade Chocolates:
This review is based on just the Chocolate section of the shop. We did not have coffee or pastries. It is just an over priced chocolate store. The amount of chocolate you get for the price is super less. We ended up getting two boxes they were nice but nothing outstanding. Also, out of the three staff that was in there, only one was friendly and helpful. The other two (especially the guy) just stared us in a rude way... View all feedback.
Gorgeous charming coffee and dessert spot. The lattes were perfect not too sweet or overly sauced. Desserts were gorgeous and delicious. The shop is as close to perfection as you can get.
Just a lovely piece of Europe! It was not easy to choose which dessert to try first.I would definitely get back to try them all!Pretty good americano for a Not coffee shop.
I'm sold. Walked by this place on my way to another destination and turned around to get a coffee. So glad I did! The staff was exceptional, the Latte and Engadiner Nusstorte were delicious! Got a Lintzer Torte for later. Evidently they are renowned for their chocolate. Have to save that for another trip. Thanks again to a phenomenal staff and manager for making my visit so great!

I’ve been to Chicago on a short trip and my friend took me to this places and hyped me up about it. Went there with lot of expectations and it did meet them all. Hands down this was one of the best hot chocolates I’ve ever had.
