Description

Kal'lish offers a dynamic array of vegan comfort food that has garnered mixed reactions from patrons. While many rave about the delectable pastries, like their renowned lavender lemon cupcake and impressive pop tart, others express disappointment over frequent menu changes that have removed beloved items, such as the Woodland Melt burger and nachos. Though portions tend to be smaller than expected, the flavorful dishes shine, particularly the Korean chicken sandwich and the giant Reuben. Service experiences vary, with some guests praising the friendly staff while others note inconsistency. Despite the ups and downs, Kal'lish remains a noteworthy stop for vegan dining.

The restaurant was just okay, nothing special. The prices were higher than expected for the portion sizes. I was also unimpressed by the menu prices being slightly off. It was annoying, but I didn't feel like dealing with it. Spending nearly $17 on just a small sandwich and side dish, without even a drink included, felt pretty steep.

Kal’lish is a delightful restaurant with a fantastic array of pastries! I absolutely love their lavender lemon cupcake. I was pleasantly surprised to find a last-minute vegan birthday cake from their freezer section.

While waiting for my friend, I had a pleasant conversation with Ryan, who was working at the counter. He was such a delightful person - friendly and well-informed about the menu. He is definitely a valuable asset to Kalish.

We sat in the sidewalk patio. The food was so delicious. The veggie burger was one of the best I’ve had. I loved the nachos. The tacos were amazing, and also the Reuben sandwich.

It 's difficult to say which offering is more incredibly delicious. We got there late this time. Ordered takeout and brought it home. The Vegan vegan sandwich is quite large and we got it with a salad you need to know this side salad is as large as what other places sell as a main course, and it 's more than just some mixed greens. See photos below. We got the chocolate cupcake with a cream filling. Moist. Perfect. This alone is worth traveling to Chicago. Seriously. Book a flight. Easily
