Joy Yee Plus - Chicago
Joy Yee Plus
Description
Nestled in a vibrant locale, this restaurant boasts generous portions and a diverse menu that appeals to a range of tastes. While favorites like beef kimchi and crab rangoon steal the spotlight, other dishes leave diners wanting more. Service can be hit or miss, with reports of dismissive staff affecting the overall experience. Some menu items, although flavorful, may not justify their price tag. Despite these inconsistencies, the restaurant maintains a welcoming atmosphere and is popular among students. With potential for improvement, it remains a work in progress that attracts both loyal patrons and curious newcomers.

I used to love this place. Nice tasty food and good atmosphere. But not this time. Maybe it was over the lunch time? It was around 2:30pm and we were only the guests. The guy who looks like an owner of this place was nice and polite but the lady (we guess she is the wife of the owner) was not nice at all. She served all the food with glum face. (I don't know why) and kept talking with other severs with loud voice. We were way more quiet than them. I usually had a good time in this restaurant but not this time. Food was still nice. We Both liked it a lot.
I did not expect the shabu shabu to be this good! We ordered the seafood and meat options. Fast service. Tasty soup and a lot of condiments on the side. The only thing is the shabu shabu cooker was little small, could have been bigger so we can put a lot of stuff on it. But nonetheless, I will defined come back.
Brown sugar taro milk tea with golden honey pearls is a must try!! Decent service and good atmosphere.
Very rude and impolite staff felt very uncomfortable specifically the host girl.
