Jinju restaurant in Chicago's Andersonville neighborhood offers a cozy atmosphere with great music and delicious food. While some reviewers found the entrees lacking, the small plates and appetizers were a hit. The mango habanero soju cocktail was a standout, as was the attentive service from server Kevin. The restaurant was praised for its chill vibe and welcoming atmosphere for solo diners, date nights, or family outings. Overall, Jinju offers mind-blowing Korean cuisine with killer flavors, a relaxed ambiance, and friendly staff. While some experienced issues with food quality and service, others found it to be a great spot for affordable and flavorful Korean dishes. The menu, although simple, gives diners a chance to experience authentic Korean cuisine in an elegant way. While there were some mixed reviews, Jinju remains a gem in the Andersonville neighborhood for those looking to explore Korean cuisine in Chicago.
One of the finest Korean restaurants in town. Impeccably clean and tidy with exceptional service that's both prompt and friendly. The dishes are...
Get some Korean among the many Asian restaurants in Andersonville. It's got plenty of smaller and bigger options to choose from. Jin Ju is a pretty nice...
Bugogi: a bit too sweet Steamed dumpling: skin's too dry and tough since it's takeout Pork belly with Brussels sprouts: flavor's decent but very small...
Overall, our experience was very mid. The staff was friendly but it took them 15 mins just to get water on our table. We ordered bibimbop, wings, rice cakes, and spare ribs. The food basically all came at once which was overwhelming, and we weren’t blown away by the meal. The wings were actually drumsticks which was yummy but way too much food, the rice cakes were good, but the bibimbop was a miss.
I like the vibe in here. It was welcoming and fun, yet not too tightened up like a bar feeling where you can lay back a little and enjoy the evening. As I don’t drink, I ordered just my favorite Korean dish that always make me happy, bibimbub with raw squid that served in a hot bowl and a scallion pancake, I liked them both. And my friend ordered soup with soju and she said she enjoyed it too… We will come back!
