Had dinner at Himmel’s last week. The schnitzel was delicious, but the potatoes were too greasy. Salads were good, but the drinks are pricey. We really enjoyed the music and the dancing.
Very homey feeling to the area. The food was very authentic and comforting. Very large portions so get ready to share!
Took a full hour and a half, and what we got was absolutely terrible. We paid over $100 and we got an inedible sauerbraten that tasted like it had been left in the back of the fridge for too long, dumplings that are clearly just reheated slices of mushin watery, flavorless gravy, and a porkshank that was completely unseasoned and contained congealed, gelatinous fat. Instead, he only showed the total on his tablet to one person in our group, leaving us confused about who owed what, especially since some had ordered alcohol. Additionally, I’m curious about the extra charge for a 7 oz. can of generic Shasta, but I'll never know because I didn’t see the receipt. Lastly, I found it rude and unsanitary for the server to pick up my can to check if it was…
