Himmel continues to attract diners with its delightful German cuisine and charming atmosphere, highlighted by live accordion music that sets a festive tone. Guests rave about the hearty dishes, particularly the schnitzel and pizza, though service experiences vary widely. While many cherish the welcoming vibe, others have encountered inconsistencies in food delivery and staff attentiveness, especially during busy times like New Year's Eve. Despite occasional service hiccups, patrons remain optimistic about returning, drawn by the restaurant’s vibrant ambiance and commitment to quality fare. Overall, Himmel remains a beloved spot, though clearer communication and service training may enhance the experience.

I have a love-hate relationship with this restaurant. Despite enjoying the food and ambiance, I always seem to have strange interactions with the owners. For instance, during my last visit, I held the door open for an elderly woman only to be scolded by the owner for letting cold air in. Despite these odd encounters, I will continue to patronize this establishment in the hopes that the owners will improve their customer service. The restaurant is a hidden gem with occasional live music, fresh and delicious food, and generous portion sizes.

We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The authentic German decor and ambiance were wonderful. The live music added to the perfect atmosphere, providing just the right amount of background noise for conversation. The German cuisine was exceptional, with generous portions. The Wurst Platter featured a delicious kassler chop, tender bratwurst, spaetzle, and superb sauerkraut. My husband enjoyed the Weiner Schnitzel, which rivaled the best restaurants in Germany. My girlfriend loved the Sauerbraten and the flavorful red cabbage. We highly recommend this restaurant.

This restaurant offers an authentic German experience with a great atmosphere. The bartenders are fantastic and really funny. And don't miss out on their delicious pretzel bread!

Took a full hour and a half, and what we got was absolutely terrible. We paid over $100 and we got an inedible sauerbraten that tasted like it had been left in the back of the fridge for too long, dumplings that are clearly just reheated slices of mushin watery, flavorless gravy, and a porkshank that was completely unseasoned and contained congealed, gelatinous fat. The pizzawas fine, but not up to the quality it once was, and frankly a waste of a D. O. C. certificate, and the cheese dip was bland andwas so chunky it was unspreadable. This place used to be really good, but what we received was absolutely unacceptable for theprice we paid.

Had dinner at Himmel’s last week. The schnitzel was delicious, but the potatoes were too greasy. Salads were good, but the drinks are pricey. We really enjoyed the music and the dancing.
