Feedback
Experience at Herb was a mix of highs and lows. While the food was exceptional, with flavors that transported diners back to Thailand, some aspects of the service left a lot to be desired. The innovative menu offered an array of delicious options, with the chef's personal touch evident in every bite. The ambiance was soothing and elegant, providing the perfect backdrop for a culinary journey through Thai cuisine. Despite some service issues, such as confusion over corkage fees and disorganized staff, the overall experience was still highly recommended. Herb's commitment to offering authentic and elevated Thai dishes, combined with the chef's artistic flair, makes it a standout in the city. Whether opting for the prix fixe menu for a taste of everything or exploring the vegetarian options, diners are sure to be delighted by the culinary creations at Herb.
Highly recommended!! We selected the 5-course prix fixe option. Every dish was an unfolding of flavors with each bit. Chef Patty suggested closing our eyes when eating first course Basil leaf roll-up thing), which was spot on as it truly enhanced the experience. Added bonus: most of menu is or can be made gluten free
My granddaughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Herb. We checked before hand lbecause of food allergies and dietary restrictions and were informed that the staff would happily accommodate our dietary preferences. We were delighted to find so many options that were gluten free and vegetarian and the wait staff and chef eager to make sure of our choices. Not only was the atmosphere and service outstanding, but every single thing we had was delicious. Chef Patty was incredibly kind and came to speak to us and check in throughout the evening. This was truly a dining experience and the best Thai food ive ever had! We will definately be coming back.
Just had a fantastic dining experience here. The service was excellent, the food was fantastic, and we're excited to go back!
We're visiting from out of town and some friends who are locals booked this dining experience. It was the first time for us all. Chef Patty greeted us, took our order, explained the menu and goal of the atmosphere and experience she is looking to recreate. She absolutely delivered on her vision. All of the wait staff were incredibly friendly. There were four of us all doing the 5 course experience. I ordered primarily from the plant based menu which was so thoughtfully prepared. The plating and presentation was phenomenal. Each dish built on the previous and was a gradual introduction of heat (spiciness) in a very methodical way. All four of us left no morsel of food on our dishes and we left feeling satiated. This is the best Thai dining experience I've ever had. Even the music was soothing. We were not rushed the dishes came out with a cadence that allowed for us to enjoy each other's company and comment on the dishes, fresh ingredients and really elevate the evening. Chef Patty has done something very special here and this is a hidden gem I highly encourage you to experience.
Great Experience. I am taking 1 star away for service which I felt was a bit disorganized that day. The food is just amazing and the menu is very innovative. We tried the set menu and was well worth it as we got to sample everything. The mushroom soup and the coconut curry were delicious and so were all other dishes the betel leaf appetizer, the prawns etc. It was a Saturday evening and there was a group party going on and I felt the service was disorganized. We had read that the place is BYOB so carried a bottle of wine. One of the server told us that we cant have our wine, the other told us that it is $5 charge per person to consume and the manager told us it is $7.50 charge per person. Didnt expect that in a place that has been a Michelin star until 2022. Overall also, the service felt a bit haphazard with multiple servers working on the table and not coordinating with each other. The ambience is good and they had good soft music playing helping the ambience. Overall the experience was great and I am hoping that the service issue was one time. I will certainly recommend this place and would definitely try it again.
