Henry's - Chicago
Henry's
Description
Henry's is a lively River North bar blending inventive cocktails, a broad beer list and quirky sliders with nightclub energy. Happy-hour steals ($5 tallboys, $5 wells) lead into rotating DJs, basement dancing and playful bar games upstairs, making it a go-to for groups and late nights. Dim, hip decor and personable bartenders keep things buzzing, though it gets packed, service can lag, and cocktail prices have crept up.

I visited Henry's for the Jack Daniel's Gentleman Jack National Whiskey Sour Day event. The entrance is quite unremarkable, making it easy to overlook. However, once you step inside, Henry's is hard to forget. The open bar boasts a fantastic selection of cocktails and a wide range of beers. We enjoyed pretzels, chicken wings, potatoes, a variety of desserts, and some special Jack Daniel's drinks. Happy Hour runs from Tuesday to Saturday from 5 to 8 PM, offering $5 tallboys, $5 well drinks, and $6 glasses of wine! They also feature rotating DJs starting at 9 PM. The atmosphere is casual and enjoyable, perfect for catching up with friends over drinks and conversation.
We had an amazing time from the moment we walked in until we left! The atmosphere was fantastic with great music, dancing, and drinks. Our bartender, Kristin, was incredible! She made our experience unforgettable and truly exemplified excellent bartending and customer service. This will definitely be one of my go-to spots whenever I'm in town!
Fantastic spot for New Year's Eve! The music is great, the drinks are strong, and the atmosphere is amazing! It was a lot of fun. Highly recommend!
Very nice place, extremely sociable tenders and just good decent human beings. Great drinks too. Would recommend Suntory whiskey. Japanese stuff. It's more like a scotch. You won't be disappointed.
Really fun place! They have a bar games on the upper level. My group had a blast playing giant jenga. They have a DJ and dancing in the basement. Only qualm was that they left all the lights on in the basement, which made dancing a little weird. But the water was free and the drinks weren't too overpriced!
