Hash Browns

Description

Nestled on Maxwell Street, this breakfast spot offers potential but delivers mixed experiences. While many rave about the sweet potato hash browns and attentive service, others are disappointed by dishes like eggs Benedict and overcooked omelettes that resemble cafeteria fare. The atmosphere is lively, attracting crowds eager to enjoy the menu's highlights, including the praised potato bacon soup and unique Hashbrowns. However, some patrons feel the prices do not reflect the quality of the food received. Despite the varying opinions, the promise of delicious offerings keeps diners hopeful for a return visit.

The thick-cut bacon was incredible, and the burgers were incredibly hearty. The hash browns were fantastic, and the service was outstanding. We accidentally forgot to mention no whipped cream on our hot chocolate, and instead of just removing it from the top, they made us an entirely new cup! I would love to see a menu item like a “burger with egg, bacon, and hash browns.” But for now, I recommend getting the Patty Boy Burger with a side of hash browns and simply adding the hash to the burger.

This place is fantastic and reasonably priced for the quality of food you receive. I will definitely be returning; their burgers are incredible and the fresh-cut fries are delicious! The atmosphere is also great for kids, with good music and a friendly staff.

Outstanding service. The chilaquiles were quite good.

This charming breakfast spot is located on Maxwell Street, just off Halsted and a little south of Roosevelt. While I've had hashbrowns in the Gold Coast and Streeterville areas, I hadn't tried this place until now. It's nothing exceptionally unique, but I did sample the sweet potato hashbrowns, and they were absolutely delicious—definitely a must-try! There are so many other items on the menu that I’m eager to explore. I’ll definitely be returning soon!
