Contribute FeedbackHai Yen restaurant on Argyle Street in Chicago offers a mix of delicious Vietnamese dishes, with a diverse range of reviews. While some customers had issues with the customer service, particularly when it came to dealing with a problem with their Bubble Tea order, others praised the fresh and flavorful food. The restaurant is known for its textured dishes, such as lotus root salad and caramelized shrimp, as well as for its great selection of alcohol. The cozy and inviting atmosphere, along with the attentive staff, make it a popular spot for both neighborhood regulars and those looking to try something new on the Argyle dining scene. Overall, Hai Yen seems to offer a pleasant dining experience for those looking for a taste of authentic Vietnamese cuisine in Chicago.
Bouillabaisse Bún Riêu (Shrimp, crabmeat, pork, tomato, vermicelli noodles)
Came here with friends for dinner, first time for me. The food was great, one of the best Vietnamese food I had. Customer service is bad! We enjoyed the food so much, my friend assured since this place is close to her workplace, that they have the best Bubble Tea ever. We ordered the 2Taros with and without coconut and 2 Guanabana. It was the worst ever Bubble Tea! for both flavors!! I normally do not complain with food or service for that matter but this time I had to say something , I cannot even stomach it and not just me but my 3 other friends. We always get Bubble Teas when were at an Asian restaurant and we know how they taste. We complained to the waiter, according to him, the owner said they will refund us with only one Bubble Tea, the 3 other ones we will have to pay. I do not think that they take customer service seriously, did not even offer anything to replace or fix it. Was very disappointed!!
The food was amazing and service was great. So so good can’t recommend enough. Got the shrimp vermicelli bowl and the lemongrass beef bahn mi
The food was delicious. The service was prompt and I really enjoyed the range of options available on the menu. My mom wanted beef pho and of course there were lots of options, but we also very much enjoyed the crispy crepes as an appetizer.I had a lovely egg drop soup with crab and white asparagus in it that was so delicious and both light and rich at the same time.
The best grilled pork and I'm so happy they served ice with the flan. Definitely my death row meal.
