Description

Despite a storied reputation, recent visits to a beloved local restaurant reveal a blend of highs and lows. While the iconic lollipop wings draw mixed reviews—some praising their taste and others noting a decline in quality—enthusiasts remain loyal, citing the comforting atmosphere and kind staff. Unfortunately, inconsistencies in sauce portions and flavor execution mar the experience for some. Loyal patrons reminisce about the restaurant's glory days, while new diners hope for revitalization in both the kitchen and service. As the establishment continues to evolve, it remains a spot worth visiting but with tempered expectations.

This restaurant is located in a very discreet area in my neighborhood. They serve delicious wings and soup! The servers are very attentive, especially during lunch hours when it's not too busy. The dining area is always clean and the service is quick. I will definitely be coming back here often!

This restaurant is famous for their delicious chicken lollipops. Although they are now under new ownership, they still serve some of the best Chinese food in the North side. Everything on the menu is outstanding.

The food was fantastic, and the customer service was excellent. The dishes arrived promptly. Although it is pricier than other establishments and does not offer alcohol, the restaurant is clean and the food is delicious.

Probably my last time ordering from Great Seas. The lollipop chicken i ordered last night was really tough to eat. I noticed the wings were not fresh. It was chewy and had a taste of old fried chicken. Paying close to 40 bucks for fried rice and wings, should have been fresh. The quality has gone down drastically. I've been going to great seas since the mid 80s when it was owned by friends of the family. Was soooo good back in the days. Wings were made to order. Not any more! I understand … – show

Went in to pick up a phone order. Lady takes my payment and goes to the kitchen (I assume she went back there to get my food which was still being prepared but she didn't say a word about this) and never came back. Waited for a while and asked a different server to check on my food. He came right out with my order. Ever since the ownership changed the quality of the chicken wings have dropped drastically and the price definitely doesn't justify even the quantity. I felt sick while eating. I'm ne … – show
