Was Anonym at Gilt a mag?
Came here for our anniversary and it was lovely. Started off with the house salad which was refreshing and huge. The burger with bacon lived up to hype 10/10 best burger, and the orechiette was delicious. For dessert, we had the chocolate cake which was exceptional, and our lovely server Ashlyn brought us out some ice cream with a candle for our anniversary. What dianeb dislikes about Gilt:
We sat outside. They forgot we were out there. I had to ask for a server. Took 30 min for appetizer. Overall service was very slow. Food was salty. No mention of birthday. Too bad as we just live down the block. View all feedback.

Was able to snag a spot at the bar in the library downstairs. It's dark, moody, and intimate down there and so incredibly cool (well hot as f, but... . The bartender/server was awesome. Started with a delicious salad, was recommended the Orecchiette, and finished with an amazing chocolate cake. Pretty much a perfect meal all around.

The perfect setting for a romantic night out. Guys, I don't know who is in charge of your music but promote them. What fantastic ambience and setting with a playlist that will just make you enjoy your night that much more...seriously, if you have a Spotify playlist somewhere tell me!! The service is impeccable, reasonably priced drinks and food (that carrot cake...damnnn..best carrot cake I've had in a while). We were in Chicago for one night only and I am so happy we stumbled upon you. Everything about Gilt Bar is perfect! Don't forget to take a trip to the bathroom.....totally worth it

Amazing food!!! We really enjoyed the ambience, the food, the service, everything!! Drinks were well made, pasta was cooked to perfection! The salad was also surprisingly really refreshing. The only complaint I have is towards the end of our dinner there was a group next to us and they were 6 people seated at a table for 4 so they were kind of in our table space and it was just awkward. I could hear everything they were saying and I felt weird that they could hear me

We had a great dinner at the Gilt Bar! We all sat in the library speakeasy and it was a great spot. Cool corner table. Yes, lights are a little dim, but part of the ambiance, kind of loud as it is packed with people, but a cool place with huge bar, older speakeasy hallways, and the $5 Photo Booth is a nice touch! Food was really good, and portions were all shareable. To start we got the truffle mozzarella sticks and the Delice de Bourgonge. Plenty of bread and cheese to share! Great taste and flavor! For our entrees we ordered the spicy orecchiette and the vodka rigatoni, both were good. The orecchiette was a tad salty. We also ordered the side item hard to see on the menu, double wagu cheeseburger, $30, honestly wasn’t the best burger we had, good taste but dryer than id like, personally not worth that money. I’d go with other Italian pasta items for that cost they are known for. They are known for home made pasta. The service was really good. We ordered a bunch of martini and all were good, Tom was our server and took care of us. Ordered a Makers and Sprite, came out watery…they took that one off our bill! The other servers assistants were all very good, always cleaned up the table, fresh water and nice people. Tom brought us out some complimentary ice cream! Tom took all the menus so they wouldn’t get messy during the meal! Price wise, 5 of us….2 drink each, 4 entree’s and also apps, close to $500 in case you need a ballpark. Restaurant does add a “restaurant charge” automatically to the bill. Nice place! We’d come back for sure. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $40–50 Parking space: Somewhat difficult to find parking Parking options: Paid street parking Parking: Cool spot, real nice to see an older place packed and the ambiance is nice! Be sure to check out the tons of pictures and Photo Booth in the library! Kid-friendliness: Yes, but at night it’s not kid friendly.
