Reviews - Flat Point

Sandwiches, Pasta, Bagel

Reviews summary

A neighborhood kitchen serving creative, well-presented dishes with a warm, eclectic atmosphere and friendly staff. Highlights include Alpine Caprese, tartines, smoked sausage, standout bagels and cookies, plus solid cocktails. Execution can be uneven — some mains arrive late or over/undercooked — and patrons report surprising charges, including a mandatory 20% service fee and pricey add‑ons. Counter service and prix‑fixe options make it a lively spot for brunch or casual dinners, but check the bill closely.

What Shining Li dislikes about Flat Point:

I give 2 stars for the decoration of the restaurant. The food tasted just like regular restaurant food, nothing special, but certainly not worth the price. Service was OK, the waiter try to educate us the concept of their “cuisine”. Most unacceptable thing is that they add 20% living wage fee automatically and mandatory. The food is incredible. The tartine is great. The smoked sausage is so rich in flavor. The grilled kale salad was so yummy. And their cookies for dessert are top notch. Be warned that this is counter service, not sit down service.

I'm really enjoying the fresh approach at Dorothy's Bistro—all the delightful flavors of F&P are still here!

Service was amazing and their Negronis are delicious. The smoked duck was a tad too salty for our liking, but everything else we ordered on the pre fixe menu was delish. The portions were generous as well. We will be going back again, but maybe skipping the duck.
