The food here is fantastic and surprisingly healthy for a steak burrito. It's much less greasy than most tacos and burritos, making it quite filling without being heavy. However, I think the salsa could use some improvement; it just lacks flavor. I tried both the red and green salsas and probably added too much. Overall, I would rate the food a 4 out of 5. What Summer M doesn't like about Flaco's Tacos:
The service was decent, but the food fell short. It's a bit disappointing, but that's just how it is. The steak bowl lacked any standout flavors; everything tasted bland and one-dimensional. It could have used more tomatoes and sour cream. The red salsa was tasteless, and while the green salsa had a good initial flavor, it became less enjoyable as I continued eating. Native Californian/Angeleno. Moved to Chicago for a decade. Loved it. But I missed my home-state's Mexican food. Couldn't find it here. Moved back to L.A., now visiting 5 years later. This is the BEST, freshest, most authentic Mexican food I've ever tried in Chicago. It is confident enough to mix flavors into new creative combinations. The street-corn burrito was the bomb. ? The chips were excellent. Service immediate and warm. Salsas were milder than I'd hoped, the only minor note in a fabulous symphony of savory delights.
My peach Margarita was Awesome. Very refreshing, tasty and strong. The steak tacos were a tad greasy for my liking but very delicious. The rice and beans were delightful. The Ambience was nice very spacious place. The service was friendly and fast. A new hidden gem. I'll definitely be back.Food: 4/5
We ordered a half-gallon of frozen margaritas to go for $35, and they were fantastic! The flavor was excellent, making it a great value. All the food we tried was delicious, fresh, and packed with flavor! The hot habanero sauce was both flavorful and spicy—it adds a great taste without just burning your tongue. Overall, I would rate the food a perfect 5 out of 5!

We picked up tacos to take home. The lady was super nice the tacos were bad. Either way too saucy or too dry. So salty it killed the flavor. Was looking forward to a local median priced taco. Oh well.Food: 1/5
