A rainbow of taste experience--all good! When we came in, the hostess tapped away at her pad and got us seated in nearly an instant--that appeared

It was very hot. I assume the AC was not working. Service was good. Although very salty the food was good.

A major dining experience. Great staff who know their stuff. Food that's a joy to share around the table. Do what you need to do to eat here.

My wife and I loved our first visit to Fat Rice. The dining room is relatively small and some might find the communal table situation to be intimidating , but the ambiance is fantastic, energetic, but not overly noisy. Honestly some of the best service we have had in Chicago. Our Waiter Kelly was attentive, provided a great overview of the menu and cocktails, and never let our water glasses come close to being empty. The food was a home-run as well. We started with the Pork and Shrimp Potstickers, which were fantastic, and shared the namesake Arroz Gordo for our main. We will definitely be back!
