eating is excellent, the cocktails are amazing and the atmosphere is wonderful. fancy plants kitchen is just the best vegan restaurant in chicago. last night we ordered the tasting menu, from flatbread pizzetas to grilled peach salad to the strawberry shortcake, chef cook kevin is a master chef. I was a great fan of fantasy plants caffe the restaurant was unfortunately only one of many pretentious uplifted vegan restaurants. too expensive, slow service and above, our meal today were swimming in oil. the outside area is nice and the menu has a lot of different options, but at the end we have disposed of and with a bad (oily) taste. probably not anymore. Like the other place, but with class. Absolutely wonderful atmosphere and even better food
I ate here for brunch and was very pleased with the overall experience. The dish I ordered was very good and I’ve never had anything like it before. The iced chai latte was also satisfying.
In addition to being whole food plant-based, I have some pretty significant food allergies that require me to eat with no added oils, gluten, salt and sugar. The chef came to my table to talk through it with me and created the most amazing meal including polenta cakes, shepherds pie and two different kinds of wild mushrooms on a bed of mixed greens. We had an incredible dining experience at Fancy Plants! The food is pure art and it tasted just amazing. The entire staff was kind, friendly and attentive! We left the restaurant giddy from the experience we had. Very highly recommend it! The menu changes seasonally and we will be back to see what fabulous creations the chef creates next. What we ordered: BLACK TRUFFLE ARANCINI AGEDASHI TOFU WITH OBANZAI ONIGIRI SEARED SEITAN STEAK PUMPKIN CRÈME BRÛLÉE NUTELLA MOUSSE CAKE Everything was just delicious!
