Epic Burger offers a casual dining experience with a diverse menu featuring various burger options, including vegan choices. While some patrons appreciate the generous portions and flavorful offerings, others have noted a decline in quality, citing greasier, thinner patties and an overall loss of the restaurant's once-iconic flavors. The atmosphere is welcoming with both indoor and outdoor seating, but noise levels can detract from the experience. Despite mixed reviews, it's still considered a reliable choice for burger enthusiasts, especially for those seeking a laid-back environment and a variety of customizable options.

Was Harry Levine at Epic Burger a mag?
This restaurant is definitely one of the best places in Chicago to enjoy a delicious burger. The atmosphere is laid-back and casual, which adds to the overall experience. I appreciate that they offer a wide variety of burgers on their menu, including vegan options, which is a nice touch. The service was friendly, although my order took about 20 minutes to arrive. However, the wait was worth it because the burger was... View all feedback.
What Seth Steuber dislikes about Epic Burger:
I’ve been going to this location almost since it opened. But it’s fallen off and I’m sad about it. What used to be a savory, juicy and delicious burger has become a beef sandwich on a diet. The patties are now thin and dry, the cheese seems off-brand and they’ve seemed to remix the Epic sauce. It doesn’t have that good burger joint smell the way it used to when you walked in the restaurant. Not to mention they don’t... View all feedback.
My father and I visited Epic Burger after checking out Shedd Aquarium, hoping for a truly epic dining experience. Unfortunately, what we found was just decent food that left our taste buds wanting more. It wasn't terrible by any means, but it certainly didn't live up to the name "epic." The burger felt a bit too greasy and lacked depth in flavor. We ordered a meal that cost around $17-19 for the two of us, which is reasonable, but in my opinion, there are better burger spots out there. For example, Five Guys offers a much superior experience, and Smashburger is also a solid choice. Epic Burger just didn't impress us. However, it might be a hit for others. With locations across the Chicago area, it's easy to give it a try if you're interested. There are honestly so many dining options that I could write a lot more about it, but I’ll keep it brief for now.
This restaurant is a great spot not only for its tasty food but also for the wide variety of burger options they offer, including a build-your-own burger feature. They also have spicy and vegetarian burger choices, which is a nice touch. Along with a few side dishes, they offer several milkshake flavors too. The restaurant itself is clean and offers plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, making it easy to find a table. The staff are friendly, especially the cashier, and the food is served promptly. Additionally, the location has a spacious parking lot, making it convenient to visit. Overall, I really enjoyed their food and would highly recommend their burgers and shakes. It’s definitely a must-visit, especially for burger lovers.
The manager sits on the counter. A cartridge was concerned about the cook of his meal and her answer was "it is freshly made I watched him from here. It's...
Dear Epic Burger on North Ave (next to West Elm), I have always enjoyed my visits to this location, but today was nothing short of EPIC! The young man who greeted us and took our order was exceptionally kind and welcoming, exceeding my expectations for service at a fast food restaurant. He truly seemed happy to be at work, engaging with customers and taking pride in his role. While my friend and I enjoyed our meal, we observed this young gentleman busily cleaning tables, taking additional orders, and providing wonderful service to everyone in the restaurant. When we finally asked his name, he shared it with us, but I prefer not to mention it publicly. We were there today (April 2, 2024) around noon. He brought so much joy to our experience that I felt compelled to share our appreciation. Thank you, C!!! I had a Turkey with Bacon and plenty of sauce, along with a Classic and small fries.
