Dunkin' - Chicago
Dunkin'
Description
This Dunkin' delivers reliably good coffee, fresh donuts and quick takeout in a clean, casual spot popular with commuters and bus riders. Regulars praise friendly staff, fast service and free Wi‑Fi, but experiences vary: repeated order errors, blunt interactions, and inconsistently prepared breakfast sandwiches undermine otherwise solid product quality. Issues like refusal to accept reusable cups and lack of apologies have led to missed connections and frustration. Overall, great for a fast caffeine fix, but management and staff training need improvement to ensure consistency.

I informed the person behind the counter, who seemed to be the owner, about the mistake. He took my receipt and told the staff that it needed to be made with American cheese. The sandwich maker was interrupted by another employee, who shouted in Spanish that she would prepare the sandwich since I was waiting. She then finished it, and I picked it up, only to discover that it was still wrong. Instead of a plain bagel, they had put it on a croissant. So, I had to ask for the sandwich to be remade once again. At this point, I checked my Ventra app for the next bus, and it showed "Due," which meant I would be late for work—the very thing I had tried to avoid by ordering ahead. Although I was relieved to finally get the correct sandwich, the poor service caused me to miss my bus, and I had to wait outside in the freezing cold for 20 minutes due to the storm the night before. To make matters worse, no one even apologized for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, this isn't the first, second, or even third time I've experienced service like this at this location. I've been frustrated enough to write to corporate about it. This restaurant really needs new management. From now on, I’ll be going to McDonald's instead; at least they rarely get orders wrong. As for parking, it's shared with other businesses.
I enjoy drinking hot coffee while I’m out for my walk, but I find the cup they provided to be too hot to handle. I tried bringing my Dunkin' Donuts cup with me, but the store wouldn’t let me use it.
I had requested less ice in my iced coffee and iced chai latte, but both drinks were filled to the top with ice.
