Dunkin' - Chicago
Dunkin'
Description
At this popular donut chain, experiences vary widely, with customers expressing frustration over inconsistent service and order accuracy. Many report long waits, especially during busy hours, citing insufficient staffing as a significant issue. Curbside service has also drawn criticism for failures in execution, leaving patrons waiting without communication. Conversely, some occasional visitors have praised the quality of specific items like coffee and muffins, highlighting moments of exemplary service. Overall, while there's potential for enjoyable visits, the restaurant must address staffing and service consistency to elevate the dining experience for its patrons.

The manager or owner should consider offering customer service training to the staff. Wishing you the best with this level of service.
Boy oh boy, where do I start? Should Dunkin', the country’s biggest donut chain, operate with only one employee? Absolutely not! I walked into Dunkin' to grab a cup of coffee and two bagels, which ended up taking 33 minutes. During that time, at least 8 or 9 customers left without ordering. When it was finally my turn, the staff member, sounding panicked, told me she couldn’t serve hot food, clearly referring to their sandwich menu. To make things easier, I asked for just two plain bagels, no heating—just throw them in a bag. I grabbed my order and left. Usually, Dunkin' has 3 to 5 employees on site, but there was just one this time—and it’s not the first time I’ve experienced this. Honestly, I’d rather go somewhere else.
Dunkin' is adapting well to the challenges of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, including the Delta and Omicron variants. They follow CDC guidelines by requiring quality face masks, which are strictly enforced. The staff at Dunkin' have organized their workflow efficiently, providing excellent service. There is plenty of free parking available, and the prices are reasonable for the Chicago area. I did notice a small charge labeled "EAT IN TAX" for $0.01 on my receipt, and I also saw that the dining area at 4701 S Kedzie is closed. Has anyone else experienced this?
What’s the purpose of curbside service if they aren't willing to bring the food out? I tried curbside for the first time and ended up waiting over 20 minutes. No one came outside, and my calls went unanswered. I ultimately had to go inside to pick up my order. I'm really disappointed.
