Due Lire
4.5 / 5 (3227 reviews)

Description

Due Lire is a neighborhood gem offering a menu with a variety of excellent home-made pasta dishes, salads, and desserts. The wine list is reasonably priced and of high quality. The restaurant may get a bit loud inside, but the outdoor patio is peaceful. The service is generally good, despite some delays. Diners highly recommend the ravioli and gnocchi, as well as the calamari. Despite some minor issues like rushed service on busy nights and limited variety on the menu, Due Lire provides a fantastic dining experience with delicious food and friendly staff, making it a great spot for a date night or pre-concert dinner.

We typically love the food but it was not as good as usual. I had the caccio e pepe special and it was gooey.

This was my first time at Due Lire. It's a neighborhood gem I'd say. The menu is not huge, which is perfectly fine and kind of appreciated, because what they do they do really really well. The pasta is super fresh, as are the ingredients. The sauces are well balanced and well flavored. The salads are excellent. We didn't get a chance to try the desserts as we were going to a performance at the Old Town School. The wine list is very good, again not huge but high quality, and reasonably priced. The inside space is a tad loud but that could be just because of who was there at the same time. It'll merit return visits for sure.

Wonderful food and great wine selections. Backyard patio less crowded than restaurant makes for a very nice spring evening.

The wine list is reasonably priced and provide a nice variety by the glass. The entrees are varied and all sounded fantastic. I had the ravioli with braised beef (or was it boar I forget). It was in a chianti reduction that was delicious. I highly recommend Due Lire. It was very easy to get in on a Thursday night and unfortunately for them wasn't filled all evening.
