**Restaurant Review: A Mixed Bag Experience**
Tucked near a movie theater, this seafood restaurant presents a dichotomy of experiences for diners. While the food impresses with flavorful offerings like crab cakes and fresh sea bass, issues abound. Service lacks warmth, with staff appearing understaffed and insufficiently trained. The ambiance feels stark, as harsh lighting and cheap decor compromise the overall setting, making it less inviting. Cleanliness stands out, yet it doesn't compensate for subpar food execution and presentation. Despite high hopes driven by positive reviews, many patrons left disappointed, questioning if they would return to this seemingly flawed gem.

1. **Service:** The service was fair but not particularly friendly, and the staff could benefit from more training. It wasn’t busy, yet we had to search for our waiter several times. 2. **Ambiance:** The atmosphere was lacking, but at least it was quiet enough for conversation. On the positive side, the place was very clean. 3. **Food:** The Branzino was frozen rather than fresh, and it was overcooked and dry. The salmon was acceptable, but the portion sizes were generous. However, the meal could have used more seasoning (and not just salt). We ultimately rated our experience poorly due to the very dim lighting at the entrance. Our elderly friend struggled to see one of the steps and fell quite badly onto the sidewalk. While we were all assisting her, I noticed that the waiter outside witnessed the incident but didn't bother to stop or check on her; he simply looked away. It still troubles me to think about that.
We were hoping to enjoy this restaurant because of its close location to the movie theater. Unfortunately, they are severely understaffed, and the food was only mediocre at best. My husband’s fish was bland and presented alone on the plate. We won’t be returning.
All other reviews for this place were very good, so we decided to try it for an anniversary occasion. This place looks more of a diner than a restaurant. There is no ambience to the place and the food wasn't anything special we had Hawaiian ahi and crab cakes, which were supposed to be very good, according to our waiter. The food was bland and lacked presentation. The crispy brussel sprouts were too oily and not crispy at all. Very dissappointed, will not visit again.
Fantastic happy hour! The drinks and service were excellent. We'll definitely return for the oysters on the half shell.

The dining experience was outstanding and offered great value. Everything was fresh, and the presentation was exquisite.
We read several positive reviews about this restaurant, so we decided to celebrate our anniversary there. However, the experience was underwhelming. The atmosphere felt lacking, and the food didn’t live up to expectations. We ordered the Hawaiian ahi and crabcakes, which, according to our waiter, should have been excellent. Unfortunately, the food was bland and poorly presented. The crispy Brussels sprouts were overly greasy and far from crispy. Overall, we were very disappointed and won’t be returning.
We always try to support local businesses and book a reservation based on the reviews we have seen. but we were really disappointed. the D.R was almost empty and this should have been our first note. 1. service do not measure particularly friendly and could use more trining. it wasn't busy and we had to look for him a few times. 2. ambiance terrible, but at least it was calm so that you could converse. but it was very clean. 3. eating the branzino was frozen, not fresh and overcooked and very dry. I was okay. the portion size was generous. the grinding time could use more spicy (no more salt). we gave him a bad evaluation because the entry was very badly illuminated. our older friend could not see any of the steps and take a crash on the way. When we all tried to help her, I noticed the waiter outside saw what happened and didn't even stop and ask if she was okay. he looked away. I have to think about it.
I would definitely go here again, but like most restaurants it was understaffed. We didn't get asked if we wanted another drink, but did get refills of water. Service was lacking for sure. But the food was really good. The charred Octopus appetizer I would of ordered another. We also had the brussel sprouts, very nicely done. My wifes Ahi Tuna dish was brown, but it tasted fine, not sure why it wasn't bright red, but i read later on that it can be brown. I had the seafood platter and old fashioned. Restaurant was a bit loud, but we were next to some loud guest, but it was fine and not a big deal. Very nice dinner.
We love this restaurant and the staff- always a fantastic meal. It is definitely a brightly lit place but they always dim the lights when asked. The food is absolutely top notch and I’ve never had a special that was less than superb. Even the meat dishes are perfectly prepared and of the highest quality so don’t worry if you aren’t a pescatarian!
