Description

Devil Dawgs brings Chicago comfort food to multiple neighborhoods with Vienna Beef Chicago‑style dogs, vegan alternatives, hand-cut fries, tots, whiskey‑battered onion rings, buttermilk fried-chicken sandwiches and organic milkshakes. Service is typically fast, the space is clean and pet-friendly seating is welcomed. Ingredients lean local and hormone‑free, and dipping sauces add flair. It’s a solid late-night spot, though patrons report a switch to generic cheese sauce on burgers, occasional greasy fried sides and inconsistent delivery reliability.

I visited Devil Dawgs because they used to serve their burgers topped with Merkt's Cheese Spread. Unfortunately, they’ve switched to a generic artificial cheese sauce that you find at most other places, and it just doesn’t compare. The hot dogs are still good, but the burgers and sliders just aren't as satisfying as they used to be.

This was my first actual Chicago Dog. It had everything except the poppyseed bun, but for $5, I ain't mad at them. I also got cheese fries and an incredible strawberry shake. The best thing is they let my frenchie in to sit at the table with us! He tends to whine if he doesn't get french fries.
