Reviews - Danke
Reviews summary
Tucked in a busy Loop food hall, this fast-casual spot is lauded for house-baked, crusty bread and generous, high-quality sandwiches—vegetarian and vegan options included. Salads (notably a marinated kale with roasted beets and lemon vinaigrette) and local craft beer round out an affordable, elevated lunch experience. Service is prompt and friendly, making it a reliable choice for office crowds. Expect occasional inconsistencies—greasy preparations, a tough baguette at times, and some vendors closing by mid-afternoon.

There is a great and diverse selection of restaurants, although several were closed by 4 PM. I had a delicious kale salad, a smoked turkey baguette sandwich, and enjoyed a local craft beer. Thank you! View all feedback.
What Brittani Johnson dislikes about Danke:
Ham and cheese. Extremely greasy and wasn’t so tasty. Also, who adds pickles to grilled cheese? Even after requesting NONE I got EXTRA. Not at all what I wanted or expected. View all feedback.

I order from Danke approximately once a month when I'm at the office. I've tried many sandwiches on their menu, and they're all great—you really can't go wrong. My personal favorite, though, is the secret sandwich. The Italian sandwich is shown in the picture because that's what I chose when I decided to write this review. The service is always prompt and friendly, and the sandwiches are consistently delicious.

Fantastic dining experience! The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. I ordered the Marinated Kale Salad, and the roasted beets added a wonderful earthy flavor. The lemon vinaigrette is simply amazing! Plus, the prices are very reasonable!

The food was overpriced and not enjoyable. It seemed they were trying too hard with the flavors and presentation, which you end up paying for.
Their sandwiches are SO good and have such high quality ingredients. The bread is some of the best in Chicago and baked fresh by them. It's crusty, a little chewy, and just totally perfect for a sturdy and filling sandwich. The sandwiches overflow with fresh ingredients. Always get a little $1 container of the house dill pickles on the side! Can't recommend this place enough. A quick lunch option in the Loop that feels a little elevated. I go whenever I can and have for years. The Veg sandwich is my fave. Also the staff are just really nice.Vegetarian options: Delicious vegan sandwich
