Menu

The place from Chicago offers 77 different courses and drinks on the menu for an average price of $10.7.

Tucked into Argyle Street, this family-run Vietnamese spot serves vivid, authentic dishes—standout pho, Bun Bò Đà Nẵng, banh khot and a beloved tofu banh mi—made with fresh ingredients and a house chili oil. Friendly, attentive staff and vegan/vegetarian choices make it welcoming for all, but evenings fill up fast and portions can be smaller than expected. Overall it’s a budget-friendly, nostalgic taste of Vietnam that keeps diners returning.

Was Noelle Hoffman at Danang Kitchen a mag?
I dine here every time I come from Los Angeles. The tofu banh mi is my go-to lunch option (and at just $7, it’s a great deal). The pho is outstanding. This place is a true gem—very budget-friendly, and the staff is wonderful. View all feedback.

What zackmb dislikes about Danang Kitchen:
*additional charge for using a Debit/CC Why not just include it into the bill? Bahn Mi was good and decently priced. Beef Pho had an overall decent taste, the amount of meat in the dish was small in compared to most of the other restaurants in the neighborhood. Value…??? Nah I’d suggest other spots that charge a dollar or two more for their Pho. The Irony: Asks for Authoritarian Vax card and wants you to sanitize your hands before touching the menu. Fair enough, bow down. But then… -Table is … – show.

I've been eating Vietnamese on Argyle for years and DaNang Kitchen was a refreshing surprise! Unique takes on classic flavors. Every dish was a taste explosion! The Banh Khot Tom was a new twist on a ban xeo. Instead of a rice flour pancake, it's 6 individual little cups. Crispy and puffy with huge flavorful shrimp (or tofu) and all the lettuce and basil to wrap it up in. The Green Papaya salad was also unique, topped with sweet strips of Vietnamese jerky, fried shallots and toasted almonds in a sweet citrusy yummy, house made dressing. We ordered an awesome noodle dish and almost the entire small plate menu and I can't wait to go back and try the Pho! Lots of vegetarian options! Cute outdoor patio!
