Dakota 94 - Chicago

One of best dining experiences I've had. Food, drink and atmosphere were amazing.

Randomly found this place. Needed dinner and wasn't too familiar with the area. I googled mapped restaurants. This popped up with good reviews. They were able to seat us immediately. Service was amazing! Friendly! Attentive! I have a food allergy and our server helped me with choices of swapping out sides. And the food was so good! We will make the drive out again just to go to Dakota 94. Can't wait to try more food.

Super friendly service! Their covid response plans with the little lights on the table was genius, all you had to do was click the light on and someone would come over, otherwise we were left alone. I also love any restaurant with veggie sausage on the menu, and went out of my way to come here. The decor inside was really interesting and cute, I loved the barstools in particular. One minor issue was that the bagel on my sandwich wasn't toasted at all, so it was really hard to eat. But if I said something I'm sure it would have been taken care of quickly, I was just so hungry I ate it right away. Also a bit of a bummer that my orange juice had to come in a plastic cup with a straw, but I think that's out of their control. Tots were crispy and delicious though!

First off, the owners, Peter and Kayla, are friendly and amazing people, and they run a fine establishment. Food was excellent, including the meatloaf dinner. The sauce for the meatloaf is sweet, savory, and basically addictive; I wish I had an entire bottle of that stuff, so ask for extra sauce with it and you won't be sorry. Also heard great reviews for fish and chips as well as chicken avocado sandwich. Next, I need to try the truffle mac n cheese. Good value for the food too!
