Da Lobsta - Chicago
Da Lobsta
Description
For lobster lovers seeking both quality and a cozy ambiance, this restaurant shines. The flaky, buttery lobster rolls are a highlight, although some diners wish for more lobster at the premium prices of $17 to $29. Alongside, the lobster bisque, rich in flavor yet lacking lobster meat, impresses. The engaging staff ensure a friendly dining experience, complemented by a straightforward menu that emphasizes their specialty. While the food quality is top-notch, diners should note that the extras can quickly inflate the bill. Overall, this spot is perfect for a quick, satisfying seafood meal despite the price point.

I tried the lobster sandwiches, fries, and soup, and they were all delicious. The sandwich bread was a bit crispier than I prefer, but still enjoyable. The service was polite, prompt, and friendly. Prices were reasonable. The atmosphere was cool and cozy, making for a nice dining experience.
Wow! I just had the most amazing Lobster Mac and Cheese! It was absolutely delicious! This is a fantastic spot for a quick meal, and the service was excellent!
Counter service, straight forward menu and very friendly service. I've had a lot of lobster rolls from a lot of places and I can say that this one is pretty good! Noteworthy the lobster Bisque has no lobster meat, only lobster broth. Very fair pricing. This is my first time here. In the 20 minutes that I've spent here about a dozen food delivery people came and went. That tells me that it is popular with the eat at home/work people.
The lobster roll here is fantastic, but wow, it's a bit expensive. The small one costs $19 and the large one is $29. Both are equally delicious, but it's quite a lot to spend on lunch given my work area. I really wish they would offer a happy hour or some sort of discount for locals. I love lobster rolls, but I'll have to limit how often I enjoy them due to the price. On the plus side, the location is very clean and the staff is really friendly.
The staff at this counter server restaurant is really engaged with their guests, and concerned that everyone have a great meal. That makes the place quite special. The lobster bisque was as good as any I’ve every had, a nice combination of fresh lobster flavors in a creamy base. My lobster grilled cheese was good, but I might have a lobster roll next time. The bread was perfectly grilled, but the cheese was quite mild and I’m not sure the lobster added that much. However the sriracha mayo that came with it had a marvelous herbal flavor and the combination was excellent. Those two items plus a fountain drink came to $27, so this is not cheap fast food. But they don’t scrimp on the lobster, and I would definitely go back.
