Was Angie h at Crying Onion a mag?
I recently used Crying Onion for a small gathering, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Andrew was incredibly responsive and accommodating with all my questions and was more than willing to customize the menu for us. I was thrilled to find a catering service that could cater to such a small group, especially since many other places require a minimum of 15 people. All of my guests absolutely loved the food! Chef Andrew is absolutely incredible. Look no further if you are looking for an in home dinner or catered event. We have hired Andrew twice now. The first time was for a dinner party where he wowed us with a Provençal-themed menu for a friends ' birthday celebration. He was personable and interacted with us at the perfect level and his good was delicious. I most recently hired him again to cater for our annual holiday party for 60 people. Andrew rose to the challenge of my request for a Swedish smorgasbord in honor of Santa Lucia day. His spread was INCREDIBLE! I was beyond impressed with his willingness to work with my menu requests and recipe suggestions and he put his own wonderful spin and flare into some tried and true family recipes that were just out of this world. My husband and I are huge foodies and have eaten at some of the top restaurants in the world. I can say without a doubt that chef Andrew and the crying onion is of high quality and well worth every dime!

Upon arrival, we were welcomed by an elegantly arranged table and a continuous parade of exceptional dishes, each more flavorful than the previous. Many in my group are skilled amateur chefs, and Andrew succeeded in impressing every one of them. It was truly a memorable celebration. Now, if only I could discover the secret to making those incredible crawfish pot stickers…

Crying Onion delivered an outstanding dinner for our group of six. Working with Chef Andrew was a true pleasure—he presented several menu options and helped us brainstorm additional dishes tailored to our tastes and dietary needs. He was always accessible and quick to respond to my inquiries before the event. On the day itself, he arrived punctually, and the meal left everyone thoroughly satisfied well into the next day. The dishes were a wonderful balance of familiar flavors and new experiences; for example, none of us had ever tried fried anchovies before. Throughout the evening, Chef Andrew was delightful company. I highly recommend him for any private event you may be planning.
