Feedback
The Fairmont's Columbus Tap offers a mixed dining experience, with some guests praising the food quality while others were disappointed in the service and pricing. Large groups may struggle with the restaurant's limited check-splitting policy. While some found the breakfast overpriced and the service lacking, others enjoyed the salads and live music. Special event menus like on St. Patrick's Day were a hit, but the overall atmosphere left something to be desired for some diners. Ultimately, individual experiences may vary at this Chicago eatery.
Great service and tasty food, and a nice view out the window of pedestrian traffic.
Cold bland beef fat french fries. Super greasy short rib sandwich. Abnormally small fish with the fish and chips. Drinks were so-so. The Cobb salad with Michigan salmon was 5 star though!
Would have been a five star but no heads up about only 6 way split checks, would not split our group up to eight when we were able to tell them exactly what we had. Do not recommend if you are a large group.
The food was delicious, but the service was only okay. The overall experience was marred by disorganized host staff and sweet but slow servers.
The service at this restaurant was fantastic and the food was delicious. We were a party of four and each had a different sandwich. One person enjoyed the prime rib sandwich, another liked the short rib sandwich, and someone else really enjoyed the burger sauce. I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich, but unfortunately found it to be just okay. It was too spicy for my taste and I was also expecting it to be grilled instead of fried, so it was overcooked and dry. However, I did appreciate the addition of feta and apples that added a nice touch to the buffalo chicken. For dessert, we had the chocolate cake which was tasty but slightly dry.
