**Dining at The Drake: A Mixed Bag of Experiences** The Drake Hotel's restaurant offers a vintage, club-like ambiance that appeals to locals and tourists alike. While the food is often described as delicious, inconsistencies in presentation and service have been noted. The venue can feel crowded and noisy, particularly in the evening, and there's a call for renovation to address outdated decor and cleanliness issues. However, some guests praise its convenient location and comfortable accommodations. Overall, the experience can vary widely, making it a venue with potential yet in need of improvement to fully realize its promise for both dining and lodging.
I strongly advise against staying here! This place is a disaster! I travel frequently for work, and The Drake has been the worst experience I've had. The rooms are outdated, my room had an awful smell, and it looks nothing like the photos. I was mistakenly charged for three nights even though I only stayed for two. I had to switch rooms because of the unpleasant odor, which was incredibly frustrating. I will definitely not return. Save your money; this is not worth it.
Dark ambiance with no windows. Mahi mahi salad was good though it came with only 3 small strips of fish.
The Drake was amazing in all aspects. Beautiful location and all of the amenities were perfect. Our group loved the meeting rooms as well.
Beautiful historic place. Food was good. Drinks were costly (Avg.$16) It was bustling with people and service was very very slow. The reason for the three star rating was due to the slow service and the fact that we had to wait for over 40 minutes for our appetizer. For the cost of drinks and the appetizer you would think service would be on par with the quality of their product.
Didn't eat there but the drinks were very good.
